Certainty the cure for uncertain times

We live in times of great uncertainty.

Global financial markets display ongoing volatility, which is impacting investments and retirement savings. The threat of terrorism remains and natural disasters have wreaked havoc around the world.

Closer to home, our local economy is struggling, at least in part. In these times, it is a natural reaction to focus on our own needs and find ways to ride out the storm around us.

But spare a thought for those who always live with uncertainty: people with a disability; the elderly; those dealing with mental health issues; and the unemployed. Uncertainty surrounds them regardless of the environment in which we find ourselves.

Centacare works on behalf of the Catholic community to improve the quality of life of those who are disadvantaged, dealing with injustice and in need of support. Thousands of Queenslanders know that a helping hand is always there and the world need not be a place of great uncertainty.

Staff and volunteers committed to Centacare's cause make a significant difference every day – at least that's something we can be certain about.
