Mental Health Services

Anam Cara is a leading non-government, not-for-profit organisation committed to supporting people with their lifestyle choices. Anam Cara provides a range of support services to individuals over the age of 18 with a diagnosed psychiatric disability. Services are delivered across the Brisbane metropolitan area and out to Ipswich, Logan, bayside and Redcliffe regions. Services include individual support as well as a Transitional Housing Program.

  • Support in developing or maintaining an experience of social inclusion
  • Finding or maintaining suitable accommodation
  • Household management
  • Daily living skills
  • Budgeting
  • Shopping and meal preparation
  • Using public transport
  • Accessing education, training or employment

How to Access a Service

Adults with a psychiatric disability must be in receipt of funding from Disability Services (Queensland).

Initial contact can be made with Anam Cara via self referral, other service referral, health or health/allied referral or Disability Services referral.

  • Project 300
  • Housing and Support
  • Transitional Housing Program
