Prison chaplains, who include priests, religious sisters, lay men and women from the Brisbane archdiocese, offer on request pastoral care to prisoners and staff irrespective of their faith tradition. Prison Chaplaincy is augmented by funding from Queensland Corrective Services.

Chaplains visit regularly the following correctional centres in the Brisbane archdiocese:

• Borallon
• Brisbane
• Brisbane Women's
• Maryborough
• Numinbah
• Palen Creek
• Wolston
• Woodford
