Disability Carers Family Relationship Service offers counselling and mediation to the families and carers of severely disabled people. This service aims to provide support and assistance to help families negotiate periods of stress and crisis in the provision of care to their disabled family member. We recognise the need to have a caring and supportive neutral person available to assist the disabled person and the family to negotiate these issues related to their care.

We provide:

• Initial phone contact
• Information about counselling and mediation
• Links with a disability support worker for assistance/advocacy as needed
• Counselling and mediation  sessions as appropriate will be provided in your local area
• Information and referral to other organisation

Who Can Use this service?
A disabled person, a family member of a disabled person or an agency connected with the family may use this number to make an enquiry and access a service.
