Southside service is located in Sunnybank, on the southside of Brisbane.

Southside Disability Services was instrumental in developing accommodation options for people with disabilities who had been institutionalised through a Pilot Project in 1986.

Over the past 16 years, the services have expanded to provide services to over 100 individuals, some of whom have lived with their families in the community and others who have spent most of their lives in different institutions.

We have a commitment to ensure that the assistance given to persons with disability:

• Involves them, their family & advocates with decisions about things which affect them.
• That our relationship is usually long term and therefore support should reflect increasing & changing needs
• Cannot just be met by our services alone and
• Encourage links with Disability Services Qld, community networks and specialist supports.

Support areas listed in disability support are identified with location, that is, Northside services or Southside services.
